MASM HISTORY
Maritime Agency Services of Madagascar, designated MASM, was founded on April 1992 by the spouse RATSIVALAKA.
Mr RATSIVALAKA worked in the shipping domain over a number of years and after knowing very well the business, took a personal challenge on creating a Shipping Agency able to offer the best possible shipping services. MASM operated to all types of vessels: Container Vessel, Cruise Ship, RoRo, Tankers (from 1996), Tugs, Bulk Carrier.
One of the remarkable operations done by MASM was:
- handling the Tugs that towed the Jacks during the construction of Ehoala Mineral Port
- handling Tugs towing barges during the oil exploration at Andramasay, Maintirano.
Mr and Ms RATSIVALAKA managed the business side by side over twenty-five years. New Investor came for an acquisition of MASM on 2017, led by Ms RATSIRAHONANA R. A.
In April 2022, MASM celebrated the 30th year in the Maritime Business with its 815th vessels.
MASM is member and one of fouding member of the “Association Professionnelle des Armateurs et Consignataires de Madagascar » APACM.
Throughout history, MASM has shattered barriers, defied expectations, and achieved remarkable milestones. The determination and unique perspectives contribute immensely to the advancement of the Company.
MASM Cy has been identified, recognized and recommended by its Customers and Partners abroad for having awarded the “International Gold Star for Quality” in 1996 in Barcelona, in 1999 in New York, in 2000 in Madrid.
Since then, this vision still has the Company’s watchword to date.
